Here's your chance to get a look behind the scenes. Take a self-guided tour and meet artists where they live and work. Artists and craftspeople will open their studios for this fall weekend.
The 2009 Studio Tour, now in its 23nd year, is completely free of charge. You'll get a chance to meet directly with the artists, and often see work not shown in gallery settings. You'll visit the working spaces of both established and emerging artists, from basements to self contained studios.

Elora
is set in one of the most picturesque areas of Ontario,
and is well known for the spectacular Elora Gorge on the Grand and Irvine Rivers.
Now tucked
within the boundaries of the Township of Centre
Wellington, Elora's charming village atmosphere remains unchanged.
Scottish stonemasons built the village of Elora along the
spectacular Elora Gorge in the heart of Ontario's farmland and now more than a

at the incredibly scenic Elora Gorge Conservation Area.
Elora's warm, inviting village setting makes shopping a unique experience, with
gift shops and artists studios in century-old buildings. Dining choices range
from casual
riverbank picnics to elegant dinners in a sophisticated atmosphere.
Those with artistic inclinations can "dabble in the arts" at a workshop in the
Elora Centre
for the Arts or at the Wellington County Museum & Archives. The famous Elora
Festival, Art in the Yard show and sale and an early fall studio tour make tempting
return visits a must!
Outdoor enthusiasts can bike, hike, kayak, swim or "tube" down the Grand River
on a
rubber inner tube. Try a zip line across the gorge, horseback riding, a horse-drawn
buggy ride, hot air balloon
rides all surrounded by the some of the most incredible scenery in southern Ontario.
Enjoy a memorable experience, with Elora's many cultural events, outdoor attractions
and activities, including the Grand River Raceway which sits on the outskirts
of the community.
This winter plan a visit to cross-country ski, or for a weekend of Christmas
