Festivals & Events

When visiting Elora, be sure to pack an adventurous spirit along with hiking shoes, swim gear, bicycle, and a camera!

Cycle a portion of the Trans-Canada Trail, which links Elora with other rural communities. Or explore the area on walking trails in the village and throughout the Elora Gorge Conservation Area. Discover trails that descend to the river’s edge in the midst of terrific limestone cliffs and caves. Outdoor enthusiasts can kayak, swim or "tube" down the Grand River on a rubber inner tube. Try a zip line across the gorge or a hot air balloon ride all surrounded by the some of the most incredible scenery in southern Ontario.

All over the country, and a favourite with CBC radio, is the annual Elora Festival featuring the Festival Singers. This well-established celebration of song, attracts world-class performers from a wide variety of disciplines—classics, gospel, jazz, blues and more. Performances take place in many of the local churches as well as the Gamble Barn.
