Love Elora?

Brought to you by The Business Improvement Area of Elora

We are pleased to announce Year Six of The Elora Sculpture Project. Located in the Elora Downtown core, the Elora Sculpture Project has created sculpture exhibition sites that will serve as outdoor venues for artists to experiment with public space, materials and scale.

The Elora Sculpture Project (ESP) is a civic initiative, launched by the Elora Business Improvement Association with the co-operation of the Township of Centre Wellington.

The ESP is seeking works to put on public display May 1 to October 31, 2016. A jury appointed by the ESP committee will select up to 15 entries for exhibition. The criteria for selecting the artworks include: aesthetic appeal, quality, durability, & appropriateness.

The community is very active in and supportive of, the visual, performing and literary arts and thousands of tourists visit Elora each month. This is an excellent audience for the sculptors. If selected, your work may be displayed “For Sale”.

In the 2015 season three works were sold to private collectors and two others will be relocated to other public venues for continued exhibition.
The Elora Sculpture Project does not take a commission on sales, nor is it directly involved with any sales. All inquiries and sales are handled by the artist or their agent.

For 2016 a bursary of $500.00 will be offered to one successful applicant who is currently enrolled in a qualifying, post secondary program. See Bursary Application for full details.
